Error Vs Bug Vs Defect

Error : Deviation for actual and the expected/theoritical value .

Bug : An Error found in the development environment before the product is shipped to the customer .

Defect : An Error found in the product itself after it is shipped to the customer .

    An error is a problem in which the software or its documentation does not meet defined equirements and is found at the point of origin. For example, a coding problem found during a code inspection is an example of an error.

    Defect:
    A defect is a problem in which the software or its documentation does not meet defined equirements and is found beyond the point of origin. For example, a requirements problem found during a code inspection is an example of a defect.
